About Us

Old Landmark Ministries Inc, started as a dream, a dream to obey the commission of Jesus to go and preach, teach and baptize.

Shortly after they married, Andre’ and Shirley Hope, the founders of OLM, discovered that they shared a dream to form an evangelistic team that would be self sustaining and would travel around the country conducting evangelistic meetings and conducting outreach programs to meet the needs of the community.

While living in California City, CA, in 2003, Andre’ attended The Amazing Facts College of Evangelism and caught the vision of a ministry under a corporate model, a ministry that would have evangelism as the center of a wheel and all the spokes of the wheel as outreach programs, programs that would serve evangelism. Meet the needs of the people, and then teach them of Jesus.

Shortly after completing his course at the College of Evangelism, Andre’ and Shirley moved to Colorado, the vision never left them. While in Colorado, they put together a Board of Directors and began organizing Old Landmark Ministries. In November 2006 in Fort Garland, CO; Old Landmark Ministries Inc was born. On September 7, 2007 Old Landmark Ministries became a non-profit corporation and was registered as such in the state of Colorado. On November 15, 2007 OLM received its tax ID number and 501c (3) from the IRS.

During its first year, OLM conducted a free Thrift Store, an Evangelistic Meeting, conducted many Bible Studies and started a Branch Sabbath School. There was Movie Night every Thursday Night (Christian Movies), Prayer Meeting every Wednesday Night, and Bible Book Club every Tuesday Night, at this time the corporation had only six members.

After much prayer, the Hopes decided that in Colorado they lived too far from an urban area for the ministry to be effective in reaching those who would benefit from the outreach programs.

So, being lead by the Holy Spirit, in April 2008 they moved back to the Sacramento area and on November 25, 2008 OLM became registered as a non-profit corporation in the state of California. The Hopes prayed that the Lord would send individuals to become a part of the Board of Directors to organize OLM in this area. And He did just that, the Hopes feel that the Lord put together the present Board of Directors for OLM. He has brought together individuals with the varied backgrounds, skills and experience needed for OLM to grow.

Andre’ has been CEO from day one and Shirley has served as Secretary/Treasurer and has been the driving force that has kept everything running. As of July 2009 Old Landmark Ministries Inc. has an Executive Board of Directors that consist of nine members and is looking for individuals to serve as department heads in several areas.
